Can I get my fish license at Hawks Landing island store......
Sorry Hawks doesn't sell them anymore, nor does anyone on the island. Need to pick up before coming to island or buy online with phone, I understand the saved copy on your phone is permitted by dnr now!
What are your daily hours?
Currently 8am -8pm daily with exception of Sunday's are 8am - 6pm. Longer summer hours go into effect end if June.

If you want five or so versions of the same thing, well, that's what either a big box store or the internet is for. But if you want a good meal, good company and ridiculous ice cream (served sizes should be called large, holy cow and share with somebody hungry), this is it. Enjoy!

Make sure you ask “I’ll have a Whipple”. Great sandwich originating back in the day for televisions Mr. Whipple (Charmin bath tissue) who vacationed here in the summer. If you can make it by in late afternoon, about 4 pm , the Hawks come in for a landing. Majestic. They are paid scale, but still impressive.

A very pleasant place to come eat on the otherwise remote island.The staff are very personable and friendly. The food is typical of a diner, and the rustic decor really sets the scene for this down-to-earth restaurant.After a long day of dusty quad running in summer heat, it can be nice to stop by and pick up a 2-scoop ice cream cone over at Hawks and hear about what's new on the island.Always clean interior, and the food is always great.

Gigantic sandwich for a good price. Dude who owns the shop is way cool. Good banter with the locals. Bought a shot glass. Would recommend.
